Qatar – Doha

About Doha

The Qatar is located in the center of the middle east between Bahrain, the Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Doha is one old city but also now one new city under construction for few years. From the Souq Wakif, you can walk until the harbour and walk on the corniche, You will discover the old city, the Spiral Mosque and the Qatar Islamic Cultural Center. The Souq is nice to discover the local food and to buy souvenirs. One nice place, if you want to have one amazing view of the skyline, is the roof top of La Cigale Hotel.

West Bay is a new district of Doha where the building don’t stop to build. This one form the skyline of Doha, famous for the image in the world when we talk about the Qatar. The district is divided by the diplomatic area, the Convention Center and the hotels near the Corniche. The place is nice around the Mall for one lunch or shopping.

The Pearl is an artificial island under construction. This is a residential area with one part which looks like Venice. Near the Pearl, you have Katara Beach with few restaurants and shops. The place is nice and quiet, far from the noise of the city. All this zone, West Bay Lagoon and Lusail is currently under construction.

Khawr al Udayd is located in the southeast of Qatar, on the border with Saudi Arabia. The place, in the heart of the desert, is totally amazing during the sunset. The night, it’s possible to reach one desert bedouin camp and to enjoy one BBQ dinner with facilities (shesha, camel riding, swimming … ) The experience deserve to be lived.
